Five-line SnapperLutjanus quinquelineatus
(Other names Five-lined Snapper)
They are yellow bodied with five bright blue lines running horizontally along the side of their body, starting from the head and ending at the caudal peduncle. A black spot can be found just below the dorsal fin (soft rayed part), above the lateral line. Can be mistaken for the Blue Line Snapper but displays the extra blue line making it a total of five (hence the name). Found in tropical marine waters along coastal and coral reefs in small aggregations. Size: 35cm (Maximum) Diet: Crustaceans & Small Fish |
