A light grey to brown body with several light brown blotches over the back and numerous dark brown to black spots over the entire body. It has numerous moveable spines over the head and body. They are often found solitary along coral reefs and sandy bottomed areas.

Size: 50 cm in length (Maximum)

Diet: Sea urchins, Crustaceans & Mollusks
