Eye-Stripe TriggerfishSufflamen chrysopterum
(Other names Flagtail Triggerfish, Black Triggerfish, Half-moon Triggerfish)
Juvenile Eye-Stripe Triggerfish (Sufflamen chrysopterum) are white on the lower half of the body with a black line running mid laterally and brown in colour on the upper half of the body. As the fish ages the black line fades and the lower half of the body changes to darker brown. A blue patch develops under the face running from the snout to the ventral fin. Adults also display a distinct yellow line running vertically from the eye to the base of the pectoral fin. The caudal fin is often yellow margined in white.
