Epaulette Soldierfish

Their body colour can vary from reddish orange to pinkish orange with silver below. They have smaller scales then other species so this generally helps to identify them from other species. Each scale has a pearly white centre and the fins have a small thin silver to white margins. They have a brownish bar that runs over the gill cover and down to the base of the pectoral fin. They are often found in coral rich lagoons, coastal and outer reefs.

Diet: Plankton & Invertebrates
