Double-saddle ButterflyfishChaetodon ulietensis
Double-saddle Butterflyfish (Chaetodon ulietensis) is white scaled with two black saddles. Has a black band covering eye. Last quarter of fish is yellow, with a black dot near the tail fin. Adults are monogamous except when it comes to breeding. They are non territorial and will travel around small areas within reefs, lagoons and harbors. Juveniles are typically reared in shallow lagoons, estuaries, or harbors. Rarely are either found in deep water or open ocean. Size: 15cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Feed on plant and animal material. |
