Cryptic phyllodesmium

Cryptic phyllodesmium (Phyllodesmium crypticum) is mainly white in colouration. It has many long tentacles in which is stores zooxanthellae, that comes from their food source Xenia (a soft coral) . It is thought what when the zooxanthellae goes through photosynthesis within the tentacles the nudibranch will take nourishment from it.
