Citron ButterflyfishChaetodon citrinellus
(Other names Speckled Butterflyfish)
Creamy white yellow tinged body with a black stripe through the eye which continues up to the start of the dorsal fin. The anal fin is edged with black, with the scales displaying black/orange spots in horizontal rows. These spots are darker or black on juveniles. Adults live in pairs or small groups in shallow coral reefs. Size: Max Length 11cm Diet: coral polyps, algae, polychaete worms, small benthic invertebrates |
