Choat's Wrasse (Macropharyngodon choati) Juveniles are white almost all over with only a few orange blotches (margined in red) scattered over the body. The dorsal fin is orange in colour at the front and white behind. The face also has several darker spots. As they develop into adults the orange blotches become the more dominant marking over the body and form irregular lines as well as losing the red margins. The face also displays yellow and green markings behind the eye and blue lines below this. They are generally found along costal and coral reefs around protected areas.
