Map Image

Found on coral reefs, this large Cuttlefish is capable of random and instant colour changes. When approaching prey black and white stripes pulse along its body, this is believed to distract or hypnotise the victim as the cuttlefish moves in for the kill. It gets its name from the two broad tentacles either side of the head. Although it is at first cautious of divers, this quickly turns to curiosity where is will quite happily approach and at times even make contact.
