Blue-lined Goatfish

Inhabits sheltered bays and harbours where there are sandy and rocky bottoms. They often gather in small schools from 5-40m but have been trawled at 100m. Colour is highly variable from pale almost white, to pinkish, to deep red with various markings and spots on their head and sides. They have a blue stripe that runs down the side of the body that becomes less distinct as it ages.

Size: 30cm (Maximum)

Diet: Small crustaceans
