Blue Razorfish

Blue Razorfish (Iniistius pavo) Adults are blue with a white area below. Two large front dorsal spines are some times held erect above the head giving the fish a obvious protruding arm above the head. Juveniles vary in colour from white with dark brown vertical bars with black spots on the rear of the dorsal fin to brown a brown body with black and white blotches over the body. If approached the fish can dive into the sand to make it's escape, they also sleep buried in the sand.
