Black-tail GrubfishParapercis queenslandica
Easily identified by the large black blotch located on the caudal fin. White bodied covered in small black spots all over, can sometimes display small yellow spots between the eyes. Distinct white small rectangular shapes running along the bottom side of the body from head to tail, black spots are also displayed in the centre of these. Usually found along coastal reef and in lagoons and commonly seen on sand. Size: 25cm in length (Maximum) Diet: consists of small crustaceans, fish larvae & zooplankton |
