Blackback WrasseAnampses neoguinaicus

Juveniles have a white body with a black bar running from the top of the head down to the Caudal fin, the anal fin is also black. In females behind the gill is a blue lined black spot also on both male and female there are blue lined black spots on the anal and rear dorsal fin. As the fish grows the spots fade and blue vertical lines appear along the side of the body and pink lines can be seen on the head and the caudal fin.
