Black and Yellow DamselNeoglyphidodon nigroris
(Other names Black-and-gold chromis)
The juveniles are easily identified from the adults as they have two distinct black vertical stripes running along a yellow body. As they develop into adults these stripes fade and while the rear end of the body remains yellow the front end changes to a brownish grey. They can be found in the tropical waters of coral reefs. Size: 13cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Algae & Small Crustaceans. |
