Black and White SnapperMacolor niger
(Other names Black Snapper, Black and White Seaperch)
This fish displays two different shades of colour on the body. Above is a dark bluish grey colour and below a lighter grey / silver. The fins are distinctively darker, almost black. Juveniles display a black bar through the eye and may have a few white spots evident on their back. Usually found in tropical waters in coastal and offshore reefs. lagoons and channels.
