Barramundi CodChromileptes altivelis
(Other names Humpback grouper)
White bodied with pale brown irregular patches on the side of the body and numerous black spots over the entire body and fins. Juveniles white bodied with larger black spots over the entire body and fins. Easily recognised by the very distinct concave dorsal profile of the head. They are found in coastal and offshore reefs and sometimes may occur in tidal pools. Size: 70cm in length (Maximum) Diet: Crustaceans, small fish. |
