Banded Cleaner Shrimp

As a cleaner shrimp they play an important role in the removal of parasites, algae and dead tissue off eels and other marine species. They are often found along coral reefs in and around cave and sponge openings where they wave there long antennae to attract fish. They have a white body with red bands and small spines which they are known to use in their defence.

Size: 5 cm in length (Maximum)

Diet: Detritus & Parasites from Fish
