Australian Cownose Ray

Quite a small ray which is usually found in large schools. It has long triangular wings and a short snout, is olive brown to grey on top and white underneath. The tail contains 1-2 small stinging spines which are located at the base of the tail. They are very cautious rays and are often unapproachable swimming off very quickly.
