The Arrow Goby is light blue to green on the first half of the body up to the beginning of the dorsal and anal fin and becomes a darker blue which continues down to the caudal fin (may appear to be purple depending on light and depth of the fish). They can sometimes display a small yellow patch at the base of the front of the dorsal fin. They are generally found in pairs along outer reef slopes, bays and occasionally lagoons.
