I received your latest Dive Around Newsletter. I was interested to read about the latest entry to the fish database. You referred to the Striped Pyjama Fish. You indicated that it is found off the shores at South Australia. I'd be glad for you to check the attached picture. I was diving the "Pipeline" at Nelson Bay, NSW, when my diving buddy took a photo of this character. Up till now I thought it was a Striped Pyjama Fish.

Either they are to be found more extensively than what you guys are aware or we've given this little character the wrong name.

Thank you for your email, you are correct your photo is the Striped Pyjama Squid. The dive around map was wrong :(

I usually do at least a three point data check on the information I put on the site. I must admit I was a bit sloppy with the last few fish because I was trying to break the 500 mark before the relaunch. Will have to look back at all of them.

I have now checked the distribution and up dated the map

I would like to thank you for pointing out my mistake and will give you a BIG shout out in the next news letter :)
