ex-HMAS Brisbane

Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba - Qld

At 133 meters long the ex-HMAS Brisbane is the longest wreck dive in Queensland. She was scuttled on 31 July 2005. The amount of marine life on the wreck is simply amazing including huge schools of Yellow-tail Kingfish, Batfish & Jacks. Smaller reef fish are found all over the hull with a few resident octopuses to boot.

The site bottoms out around 28m. Before she was scuttled the vessel was made dive safe, this makes it a great wreck to penetrate. A Conservation Park has been declared for the new artificial reef. The Brisbane is Marine wonder and one hell of a fun dive, not to be missed!
