SS Yongala Wreck

Ayr - Queensland
Listed as one of the top 10 wreck dives to do any where in the world. The S.S. Yongala lies in 30m of water within the Great Barrier Reef marine park. She went down in 1911 all 121 souls, but lay at the bottom of the ocean undiscovered for over half a century.

The wreck can not be penetrated at all, but don't let that put you of diving it, the Marine Life here is Big and numerous. Queensland groper, turtles, sea snakes, bull and tiger sharks can be witnessed here along with hundreds more tropical fish. The colour on the wreck from the coral and Fauna is mind blowing, make sure you take your camera.
