Bellerive Beach

This shore dive in Hobart has a max depth of 5 metres and is one of the few places to see the endangered spotted handfish. Much of the handfish’s seagrass habitat has been destroyed by an invasive species of starfish, which are plentiful. The water, from the Derwent River, can be red to yellow in colour and visibility can be poor.
